Day 11- and the town is still covered in a blanket of snow, not that I expect the piles of snow to just disappear overnight but seeing white everywhere 24/7, have to admit it gets kinda boring after awhile. This has been a record breaking blizzard since the past 67 years, so far Virginia, Washington area has got 67-70 inches, and a state of emergency has been declared in around these states, looking at the bright side we don't have school :) but sitting at home, doing nothing, makes me want to come to school actually, it ain't that bad at school except for Math, which I absolutely despise.
American High Schools are a piece of pie, compared to Pakistani schools, just pay attention in class, do your homework and you're done! and the kids here, they're sort of immature and you have to dumb down everything for them, its like all of them have their "blond moments", instead of taking responsibility for their actions they usually blame the management, but I think that's international as we don't refrain from doing that either ;) but today in history, our teacher's like, "Great Britain was the first one to be industrially revolutionized", and a moment later she said it again but instead of "Great Britain" she said, England, and this 10Th grader goes "whoa whoa, Miss Burks, I thought we were talking about Great Britain and not England" and I stared at her, shamelessly thinking to myself, REALLY?! someone could be that dumb? and the teacher goes, "sweety pie, that's the same thaang", and the girl goes, "Well, that's just stoo-PID, why would you wanna name one country with two different names", and then other kid in the class goes, "well they do things weird in Asia", I was like, "PEOPLE, you all really need to learn your geography and history" ... Things like these make me wonder, how in the world did America become super power, with a boosting economy, great education, excellent life-style? It must be the older generation, because these kids now at the high school nowadays have a totally different perception about things, to them a Cadillac with 2 HP bass speakers is cool, and smoking marijuana is the IN thing, and if you don't wear your pants low enough to show off your boxers you're a loser and should be shunned from society .... =/
